Oof. My fatigue flared up, and then I just ... stopped using this site entirely again, huh.

Well, I've fallen into Witcher hell, so I thought it might be nice to go back through my tumblr at some stage and stick up some of the meta I'd written. Goodness knows it's just going to vanish into the aether otherwise. And idk, maybe the fic drafts that are in progress? Not sure about those. Currently they're on tumblr, bc it feels like tumblr doesn't matter, you know? If I were putting them here, part of me wants them to be in a more finished state. The tumblr versions are a bit rough, and I've already gone in and rewritten or added to a couple of them. So idk about that.

But it would be nice to start writing here again.

A belated liveblog! I've got a few of these saved up, because I've spent nearly two weeks being too ill to want to pull out my laptop, and trying to do this on my iPad is A Pain.

I need to make like a contents page for these liveblogs, because having to update 22+ entries each time I create one to add the links to the latest liveblog is SOME BULLSHIT.

(I do tag them, but I'd rather have a belt-and-braces approach here, since I've seen plenty of post series get broken because someone forgot to tag something correctly. Especially since my memory is patchy at best. Plus, it's nice to be able to jump straight to one episode's post without having to trawl through the tag.)

My parents had friends around for dinner tonight. Two of them, R & J, I'd met before I came out. One, Monica, a lovely woman from Berlin, I'd never met. I was fairly sure that R & J hadn't been told I was transitioning, but Monica had never met me before! Maybe she'd guess my gender correctly; who knows.

It was a pretty nice evening. And then, just before they all left, Monica told me that she thought the enormous picture my parents have on the living room wall was a good one of me. It was taken about six months before I came out, and I am dressed in high-femme mode, with lipstick and a sundress.

I had forgotten it was even there.

I can't express the crushing feeling I had from this one well-meaning complement. I don't know how it came across to Monica. I don't know if I managed to say something polite.

I really wish my parents would take those fucking pictures down.

I'm not gonna just post Critical Role liveblogs every day forever, by the way. I mean, I am gonna keep making them until I catch up, even if literally no-one reads them but me. I love them and they give me a chance to have FEELINGS about the episodes, and also speculate wildly. 

Anyway, I have been wanting to post some personal stuff, but what with visiting my folks and my fatigue and pain having been fairly intense since the 27th, I haven't got to it yet. I was actually just about to start a post today when we had an unexpected visit to my sister and her bub, so.

Just so you know.
