Plugging away on that Rivers of London fic I’m writing, and distracting myself by researching relevant things like heroin overdoses and the ethnic background of Britain by borough and the motto of the Thames Valley Police. That last is ‘Let there be peace in the Thames Valley (Sit pax in valle tamesis)’, by the way, which could hardly be more perfect. They have a slogan, too: ‘Reducing crime, disorder and fear’ which will almost definitely make an appearance.
